The traditional African family structure of the nuclear plus extended family is now been eroded by westernisation. Many people move to families far from the place of origin and form a new network of connections sometimes isolating themselves completely from the extending family. On the other hand, many people completely sever times because of the belief that the extended family constitute a burden on their own and interfere alot
