Earlier in the week, the Nigerian president declared his intention to run for a second term in office in the nation's capital of Abuja. There was alot of online backlash on this action because a day earlier in the Northern part of the country, a number of school boys were blown up by a suicide bomber (see story via this link) http://www.africanafamily.blogspot.ie/2014/11/suicide-bomber-rips-through-school-in.html
Most critics have been of the opinion that he could have postponed his declaration as a result of this national tragedy and also the unknown faith of the Nigerian schoolgirls that were abducted by the Boko Haram terror group.
