The nephew of President Robert Mugabe has been found dead in a cupboard at his
student digs in South Africa. Takudzwa Wesley Goronga, 20, was reported missing for ten days before he was discovered
on Wednesday last week in the cupboard of his room close to the university
campus where he was studying Information Technology.
The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation said Mr Mugabe, 90, addressed mourners
at Mr Goronga's funeral on Saturday and described the student's death as "a
mystery", comparing it to the death of his own brother Albert, who drowned
in a swimming pool in his 40s.
But he also hinted at a possible cause of death, telling the crowd: "Some children sent to study outside the country return home with some negative habits such as doing drugs."

South African police say Mr Goronga suffered no obvious injury and they are
awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination.
Jeswin Lecram, a spokesman for Monash University, the South African branch of
the Australian institution where Mr Goronga was studying, said they had
provided counselling for students and staff and friends. "It would be irresponsible to speculate on the cause of death while the police
investigation is ongoing," he said.
Mr Goronga was reportedly raised by an aunt and an uncle in Marondera, central Zimbabwe, following the death of his mother 10 years ago.
