South African President first to arrive Brisbane for the G20 Summit

South African president Jacob Zuma has become the first world leader to arrive in Brisbane ahead of the G20 summit this weekend.

Mr Zuma and his entourage arrived at the Brisbane airport about 4:00am (AEST).
Queensland Premier Campbell Newman was there to greet the South African president who was then swept away in a black Mercedes surrounded by police cars, vans and motorcycles.

The presidential motorcade drove through the city's bus ways instead of regular roads to the Pulman Hotel, which is opposite City Hall in the CBD.

Most world leaders will arrive in Brisbane on Thursday and Friday, although US president Barack Obama will not arrive until Saturday morning.
