Public transportation in Africa

A major boost to the use of public transportation in any nation is the availability of the right Infrastructure required to run and maintain it. It can be said that the availability and efficient use of public transportation can lead to reduction in pollution as there are fewer private modes of transportation emitting fumes into our environment.

The image of the African transport sector that is projected to the rest of the world by the media is one full of chaos. There has to be at least one or two African countries with a structured and functional public transportation network. If you know any, kindly list and give reasons why you think the country's transport system is noteworthy.
