Transgender Africans

In the past, been a cross dresser would be the farthest point a prospective transgender would have had to attain for varying reasons such as the fact that there wouldnt have been any possibility of them achieving their dreams of becoming the person other than that which they already are.

Their families would have disowned them, their society would have eliminated them, their friends would have deserted them and there would have been no medical facilities to make their dream come through.

One from the African continent recently won the World Transgender Pageant having once claimed to have been sent to jail in his home country for daring to be someone else before seeking asylum abroad.

Are all the transgender Africans living in exile or are they been accepted in the African community.
